Two recent articles asking the same question as Mr. Marykuca: why, when we know different, WHY is this outrage allowed, indeed encouraged, to continue all across the country?

Bjornson, Nevakshonoff - absent of vision
Interlake Spectator August 10/07 ( page 7)
The clamours to fix Lake Winnipeg that we experienced during the last election campaign is proving to be nothing more then a gambit by a bunch of insincere and conniving politicians. If anything, the threat to Lake Winnipeg seems to be worsening.
The Premier continues to make a big deal out of the Devils Lake issue while he turns the Interlake into an open air receptacle for the toxic pig slurry from corporate hog barns.
The Liberals and Conservatives do and say nothing. Elected officials, like Peter Bjornson and Tom Nevakshonoff do and say nothing.
Lake Winnipeg is the life blood to the Town of Gimli, which Mr. Bjornson represents. How can he remain silent on such important issues that concern our health and environment?
If this is the vision these two men have for Lake Winnipeg and the Interlake then I got suckered into voting for the wrong party.
Sincerley
